both these sides locked horns in lakepoint park today.milltownpass got off to the perfect start with a goal in the first few mins.Our lads didnt panic and really worked well in the middle of the park where milltownpass were strong early on.we really won some great ball and our forwards were on fire too inside and showing for everything. we really worked hard in the first half and we also hit the net too with a shot from matter rowden.That lifted our lads another notch and we got some great points too.Then we came again and Pauline carpenter hit a rasper of a shot to the top corner of the net.we were winning around the field very well and movement was exceptional. we led 2-07 - 2-02 at the break and knew they were going to change tactics and that they did and there big full forward was the man early on in this half and got 2 goals to get them back in the game again. we didn't panic.we lifted ourselves again one step more  and got some great scores.this half was a real ding done and we let them back into it again to go to extra time.We knew we had the legs to out  score them in extra time.they rattled the net with direct ball  and we responded with a goal and  5 points to win on a scoreline of st.marys 3-20 - milltownpass 5-09.a cracking game.
